Borussia Dortmund have repaid Mario Gotze's rise to prominence by awarding the midfielder with a two-year contract extension.
The 18-year-old has been rewarded for his excellent performances this season after breaking into the Bundesliga side's first team and playing an integral role in Jurgen Klopp's side.
Gotze, who has been voted Germany's best player in his age category in each of the last two years, has impressed both domestically and in Europe, scoring two goals against Karpaty Lviv in the Europa League.
And the German wonderkid looks set to be a key part in Dortmund's future after inking a new deal at the Westfalen Stadion.
"We are delighted that we can plan with Mario for the future," Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc told the club's official website.
