Bayern Munich director of sport Christian Nerlinger is getting angry about rumours regarding Mario Gomez.

Germany international still has a future at Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich director of sport Christian Nerlinger has admitted that he is getting angry about rumours linking striker Mario Gomez with a move away from the German champions. The Germany international's future has been cast into doubt following manager Louis van Gaal's announcement that he is looking to offload a forward this summer. Last season's runners-up Schalke are reported to be considering an offer for Gomez, but Nerlinger insists that speculation has been blown out of proportion. He told Sportinformationsdienst: "I am unhappy about the rumours regarding his (Gomez's) future. "The manager came up with a statement on his situation and this then became a big fuss. "The manager did not just make a statement on the one player. Mario Gomez has a valid contract with our club, he is a player of Bayern Munich." Gomez signed for Bayern in 2009 from Stuttgart and is under contract at the Allianz Arena until June 2013.
