Bayern Munich have again insisted they are not on the verge of signing German international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Bayern have been constantly linked with a bid for Schalke ace Neuer and renewed speculation over the last week claimed a deal was close.
But 23-year-old Neuer insists he is more than happy at his home-town club and Bayern insist they are content with Hans-Jorg Butt - who has been given a new contract.
"There is no truth in it," director of sport Christian Nerlinger told Spox.
"We hold Manuel Neuer in high regard, but currently Hans-Jorg Butt is our starting goalkeeper.
"We are extremely pleased with Jorg's performances in our goal and as far as I am concerned Manuel Neuer has a long-term deal at Schalke."
Whilst Bayern are not after Neuer, they are checking on goalkeeper Rouven Sattelmaier from third-tier outfit SSV Jahn Regensburg.
Nerlinger added: "At this point in time it looks as if Butt is the starting goalkeeper, Thomas Kraft his back-up goalkeeper and (Rouven) Sattelmaier could become our third choice goalkeeper for next season."
