Eintracht Frankfurt defender Maik Franz has denied claims he racially abused Mainz striker Aristide Bance during Saturday's derby.
The pair clashed on a regular basis throughout the weekend encounter, which Eintracht Frankfurt won 2-0.
Bance later claimed that Franz had insulted him on a consistent basis throughout the game, leading to an unsightly face-off at the final whistle.
The Burkina Faso international accused his rival of making racist remarks about him and members of his family.
Franz, though, insists that was not the case, claiming he would never stoop to such levels.
"This is not the sort of thing I would do, I whole-heartedly reject having done this," he told BILD.
"Actions like that would not be in accordance with my own ethics and my ethical view of others."
