Mario Gomez is not surprised by the speculation surrounding Franck Ribery, but is looking forward to playing alongside the winger at Bayern Munich.
Ribery has been tracked by a string of clubs during the summer, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United all showing an interest.
Bayern are refusing to sell the France international and Gomez, who has joined the club from Stuttgart, has hailed his new team-mate's ability.
"You now Franck is not just a good player, he is a really good player," Gomez told tz newspaper. "Franck Ribery is a world-class player.
"Therefore, it is quite usual there is a lot going on concerning Franck all the time.
"There are just a few players on the planet that are as good as Franck and when you are a team-mate of Franck's, you are only getting a profit from playing alongside him.
"His way of playing is a bonus to everyone."
