Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has hinted Lucio could be allowed to leave the club for the right price.
Lucio's future at the Allianz Arena has been the subject of conjecture in recent weeks with new Bayern coach Louis van Gaal revealing the central defender could not be guaranteed a spot in his starting line-up.
Manchester City have been strongly linked with a move for the Brazilian captain as they look to bolster their defence.
Bayern played down the rumours over the 31-year-old's future last week, but now Hoeness says they would consider selling him if the price was right.
"It's up to Lucio what will happen with him," Hoeness told the German press.
"If he steps up to us to tell us that a club is interested in signing him, we'll look in to the possibilities.
"However, he'll only leave us for the right price."
