Defender leaves Dortmund for Al-Hilal

Lee Young-pyo has clinched his move from Borussia Dortmund to Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia. The South Korean full-back has signed a one-year deal with the option to extend his stay for a further 12 months, according to a statement released by his agency GSen Inc. The experienced 32-year-old will link up with his new team-mates at their training base in Austria on Tuesday. Lee also received offers from several German clubs but is thought to have chosen Hilal due to the guarantee of first-team football. The transfer brings a six-year stint in European football to an end, with Lee joining PSV Eindhoven in 2003 and then moving on to Tottenham in 2005. He spent three years at White Hart Lane before heading to the Bundesliga last summer.
