Bundesliga outfit consider move for former player

Bundesliga outfit Hannover are considering a move to bring Stuttgart midfielder Jan Simak back to the club. The former Czech Republic international midfielder has played for the club in two spells previously. He was an integral part of the Hannover team that won promotion to the Bundesliga in 2002 before heading to Bayer Leverkusen in a big money switch. But a year later he went back to Hannover on loan, before dropping out of the professional game for a period after suffering nervous exhaustion. He then relaunched his career at Sparta Prague before then playing for Carl Zeiss Jena and latterly Stuttgart, where he has scored twice this term. Hannover chairman Martin Kind admitted Simak is in his thoughts for next season. "I know him very well and I like him. Nothing is out of the question," Kind told Neue Presse.
