Ivorian defender attracting interest from England

Reports emanating out of the Ivory Coast suggest Steve Gohouri could be set for a summer switch to England. The Borussia Monchengladbach defender has become disillusioned with life in Germany after struggling to hold down regular first team football. He has made no secret of his admiration for the Premier League and is believed to be drawing admiring glances from a number of clubs. Reports suggest that Gohouri has been given permission to find a new club at the end of the season, and his agent has confirmed that the African ace will be actively seeking a move as he looks to keep his 2010 World Cup dreams alive. "My player is not having the best time in Monchengladbach," Rui Pedro told skysports.com. "My job is to think about Steve's well-being. He needs to be playing regularly at the top level. "He has forced his way into the Ivory Coast team and he has to be playing at the top level if he wants to go to the World Cup. He can't be sitting on the bench. "He loves the Premier League, so you never know. But we must wait until the end of the season."
