Niedermeier also heads out on loan

Bayern Munich have sent highly-rated midfielder Toni Kroos on loan to Bayer Leverkusen for the next 18 months. Kroos has struggled for regular first-team football this season and his move is designed to build up his experience. The 19-year-old is the youngest player to appear for Bayern in the Bundesliga and was the Player of the Tournament at the Under 17 World Cup in 2007. He is under contract at Bayern until 2011, but will now work with the club's former star Bruno Labbadia, who is Leverkusen coach. Kroos could make his debut for Leverkusen against Stuttgart next weekend, providing he overcomes an ankle ligament injury. Meanwhile, Kroos' fellow Bayern youngster Georg Niedermeier will spend the next 18 months on loan at Stuttgart. Niedermeier has recently signed a new contract at Bayern until 2012 and the defender is looking forward to his loan move. "This is a great opportunity for me to prove myself at the highest level of the Bundesliga and develop as a player," Niedermeier told Stuttgart's official website. "I am thankful to have been given the chance and am keen to help VfB progress during my loan."
