Former Spurs full-back set to move on

Timotee Atouba looks set to leave Hamburg after rejecting a new contract with the Bundesliga title hopefuls. The Cameroon full-back's current deal expires at the end of the season and he has turned down the chance to stay at Hamburg. The club's general manager Dietmar Beiersdorfer has confirmed that the contract offer has now been withdrawn. Beiersdorfer told Bild: "He has not accepted our offer. "We cannot do anything against that and our offer is now no longer standing." Atouba, who is currently recovering from an Achilles injury, joined Hamburg in the summer of 2005 from Tottenham Hotspur. He was linked with a return to the Premier League with Newcastle United back in August, while Celtic were also credited with an interest.
