Frankfurt boss Friedhelm Funkel has assured Oka Nikolov that he will remain his first-choice goalkeeper until Christmas.
Nikolov has come under fire after a poor performance in Frankfurt's 4-0 loss at Dortmund last weekend.
But Funkel says he is not going to perform a knee-jerk reaction and replace him with fit-again Markus Proll.
"That was only his second or third mistake in 14 matches," he told Frankfurter Rundschau.
"But he has put in great performances too and we will not be changing our goalkeeper before the winter break."
However, Funkel did add that he would be reviewing the situation in January.
"We will be reassessing the situation. Everything will start again from scratch," he concluded.
