Bayern Munich defender Philipp Lahm is expected to be sidelined for at least a fortnight after he sustained an ankle injury on Tuesday night.

The Germany full-back suffered the blow in Bayern's 3-0 UEFA Champions League triumph over Fiorentina at the Allianz Arena and was replaced at the break.

Lahm's injured ankle has now been put in a plaster cast and, while the full extent of the problem is not clear, he is likely to miss the forthcoming Bundesliga games against Wolfsburg and Frankfurt.

Bayern's triumph over their Italian opposition ensured they remain top of Group F with a total of seven points from their opening three games.
