Russian star Pavel Pogrebnyak claims he is in negotiations with German giants Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old striker caught the eye during Zenit St Petersburg's triumphant Uefa Cup run last season, in which they knocked out favourites Bayern in the semi-finals.
Pogrebnyak's 10 goals made him the joint-leading scorer in the competition, level with Bayern's Luca Toni, and he went on to score in their Super Cup win over Manchester United.
The Russia international also impressed in Zenit's narrow UEFA Champions League defeat by Real Madrid on Tuesday, before revealing he is a big fan of Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
"Negotiations with Bayern Munich are taking place," he told Marca.
"I have always followed German football with a great deal of interest.
"My dad bought me Jurgen Klinsmann's number 18 shirt when I was a kid."
