Borussia Dortmund defender Patrick Owomoyela has been struck down by a further injury.
The former Germany international has had consistent problems since his summer move from Werder Bremen to the Signal-Iduna-Park and will now be sidelined for several weeks after picking up a thigh injury in training.
"We will take him right out of squad training and start building him up again," BVB coach Jurgen Klopp commented.
"He will have to do his own personal training programme for a few weeks.
"We don't know why he has been having such muscular problems.
"We were all hoping that he would be back in action as quickly as possible."
