Bayern Munich coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has thrown Willy Sagnol out of his squad after comments made to the press.
The 31-year-old France international full-back has endured a difficult season following injury and loss of form.
Sagnol complained about his situation at the Allianz Arena after Sunday's 4-1 win over Stuttgart, saying: "I have fallen into a hole and nobody is prepared to help me get out."
Sagnol also spoke out about having to play the game in midfield, and his words have now cost him his place in the squad for Thursday's Uefa Cup semi-final second leg match away to Zenit St Petersburg.
"Sagnol will have to sit on the sidelines for now," Hitzfeld told FCB.tv.
"He will not be coming to St Petersburg, but will be training here a couple of times."
