Berlin hit-man waits on contract extension

Hertha Berlin striker Marko Pantelic's future in the German capital is uncertain, according to his agent. The Serbian international, who scored twice in Hertha's 3-1 win at Stuttgart at the weekend, has yet to be granted the contract extension he desires. And the club's indecision has now seen him threaten to look for pastures new.

Big decision

"It is an extremely important decision," agent Marc Schermann told Kicker. "Marko wants to decide what he is going to do in summer by the end of February or mid-March at the latest. "Marko doesn't have anything left to prove. He knows that he should be thankful to Hertha, but on the other hand they shouldn't try to take advantage of that." Pantelic, who joined Hertha from Red Star Belgrade in 2005, has scored nine goals for the club this season.
