Long-serving Borussia Dortmund midfielder Lars Ricken could be set to join MLS outfit Columbus Crew.
Ricken's agent Kon Schramm confirmed at the weekend that the 31-year-old has received an enquiry for his services.
"Lars will be flying to the States to take a look at the Columbus Crew club and the area. If he likes it there it's possible that he will soon be playing in the MLS," Schramm told Ruhr Nachrichten.
The former Germany international, who burst onto the Bundesliga scene as a teenager in the mid-1990s, currently plays for BVB's regional league team after being told that he is surplus to requirements for the first team squad.
"If Lars wants to play in the USA then we won't stop him taking advantage of this opportunity," Dortmund sport director Michael Zorc commented.
