Energie Cottbus secured a shock 5-1 win over Hannover to climb out of the relegation zone.
Bojan Prasnikar's men were rooted to the bottom of the Bundesliga table prior to Friday's encounter, and faced the daunting prospect of entertaining fifth placed Hannover.
However, Energie stunned the visitors taking the lead after just 12 minutes through Christian Bassila.
The goals kept on coming for the home side, as Dennis Sorensen (30) and Dimitar Rangelov (44) netted before the interval.
Daniel Ziebig (65) made it 4-0, while Hannover struck back through Thomas Kleine (68).
But Ziebig's goal was scant consolation for Dieter Hecking's side as Rangelov scored his second to round off a wonderful evening for Energie.
