Uli Hoeness has revealed Bayern Munich will not stand in Willy Sagnol's way if he wants to leave.

French defender unhappy at Bayern

Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has revealed the club will not stand in Willy Sagnol's way if he wants to leave. Sagnol declared over the weekend that he was unhappy at the club after failing to hold down a regular place in Ottmar Hitzfeld's side. The likes of Manchester United and Marseille have been linked with a move for the French international and Hoeness says Bayern are prepared to listen to offers for the unsettled defender.

Emotional

"If he comes to us with a club that wants to buy him, we would not stand in his way," Hoeness said. "In any case we have too many players on our books and everything would not fall apart if one or two players leave us this winter. "But I know Willy well. He's the emotional type. Yesterday he wanted to leave, today he wants to stay and tomorrow he wants a contract extension. "We should not take all this too seriously."
