Bayern Munich defender Valerien Ismael has hit out at coach Ottmar Hitzfeld for not giving him enough chances.

Defender expected to leave Bayern

Bayern Munich defender Valerien Ismael has hit out at coach Ottmar Hitzfeld for giving him little chance to win back his place in the side. The centre-back has been overlooked this season, even when first-choice defenders Daniel Van Buyten and Martin Demichelis have been injured. He has had to play for the reserve team and is angry with Hitzfeld for the way he has been treated. The Frenchman is now expected to leave Bayern and has been given permission to speak to other clubs by general manager Uli Hoeness. "I do not believe that Hitzfeld will give me another chance," he told SID. "He does not seem to rate me. I am bitter at the way he has treated me, I just haven't been given a chance to prove myself. "At 32 I am too old to sit on the replacements' bench."
