Werder Bremen trio Torsten Frings, Tim Borowski and Clemens Fritz return in Joachim Low's 22-man squad.

Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez is back and there is also a place for Jens Lehmann despite the Arsenal goalkeeper having been sidelined for a month with an elbow injury.
