Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez has been voted Bundesliga Player of the Year.
The 22-year-old scored 14 goals in 25 appearances last season to help Stuttgart become champions for the first time in 15 years.
Gomez was also called up to the Germany squad by Joachim Low in January, and has so far scored three times in three games at international level.
He received 196 votes in the Kicker magazine poll of sports journalists, to succeed Miroslav Klose as Bundesliga Player of the Year.
"This is a really great honour for me," Gomez told the German press.
"I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in every way to achieve this at such a young age.
"I will continue to do everything possible to develop as a player and to repeat the success I have had."
Werder Bremen's Brazilian playmaker Diego came second with 175 votes, and Bernd Schneider of Bayer Leverkusen third with 156 votes.
Stuttgart coach Armin Veh was an easy winner of the Coach of the Year award with 449 votes.
