No go for Pitroipa

Jonathan Pitroipa's expected move to Hamburg seems to have fallen through.

Jonathan Pitroipa's expected move to Bundesliga side Hamburg seems to have fallen through after Freiburg insisted that they have no intention to sell the winger.

The 21-year-old Burkina Faso star is a long-term transfer target for Huub Stevens' team, but Robin Dutt, Freiburg's newly installed coach, left no doubts that the youngster must fulfil his contract with the Bundesliga 2 outfit until 2008.

"Hamburg contacted us four weeks ago, but I want to tell them that they better stop their activities as we have absolutely no intention to sell Jonathan.

"He is not up for sale and will definitely stay with us," stressed Dutt with regards to comments by Pitroipa's agent Nick Neururer, who announced that his client was closing in on a move to the HSH Nordbank Arena.
