Serie A side Ascoli have confirmed the signing of veteran midfielder Luigi Di Biagio.
The former Roma star has signed a contract worth é¼300,000 (£200,000) after moving to Stadio Cino E Lullo Del Duca on a free transfer until the end of the season.
Di Biagio was able to move outside the transfer window having ended a three-year spell at Brescia over the summer.
The 35-year-old will now look to help drag Ascoli away from the Serie A drop zone, calling on his extensive experience after previous spells with Lazio, Internazionale, Foggia and Monza.
The combative midfielder won 31 caps for Italy, famously crashing his penalty off the bar as France beat the Azzurri in a World Cup quarter final shoot-out in 1998.
