Fernando Couto's second spell with Parma could be drawing to a close after the Portuguese defender was forced to train with the youth team.
The veteran stopper has been removed from the first team picture with the Gialloblu due to the club's concerns over his recent attitude in training.
Couto missed the 3-1 win over Atalanta and is also set to be ignored for Saturday's game at Siena as Parma seriously consider the possibility of annulling the defender's contract.
Gialloblu sporting director Gabriele Zamagna has confirmed the reasons behind the decision to exile Couto, whilst also explaining that the Serie A side will meet with their lawyers before making a decision over the former Lazio man.
"He has not got the attitude we are looking for," Zamagna told Mediaset.
"I've spoken with him and it seemed to me he hasn't got an attitude that follows our behavioural rules.
"We decided in this way not to take him in consideration for the match with Atalanta.
"From next week he will train with the youth team as we wait for the return of our lawyer before deciding what to do."
