JUVENTUS general manager Luciano Moggi has revealed that the Bianconeri summer transfer market is closed, ending any possibility of a swoop for Parma's Matias Almeyda.

Juve have reinforced their squad with the captures of Gianluigi Buffon, Pavel Nedved and Lilian Thuram, and Moggi now believes they have a team capable of winning Serie A.

"I think that we are a very good team, I hope we can play good football this season and finally to win Scudetto," said Moggi.

"We are not interested in Parma's midfielder Matias Almeyda. Parma will probably sell him, but we are certainly not going to buy him."

Moggi also said the club are not interested in Perugia duo Fabio Liverani and Davide Baiocco, two players they have been linked with throughout the summer.

Meanwhile, the coach Marcello Lippi has revealed that he will be without Fabian O'Neill and Antonio Conte for Sunday`s season opener against Venezia.

Last time the Arancioverdi played at Delle Alpi Stadium (season 1999-2000), Juventus won 1-0 with Conte scoring the goal.
