Napoli failed to significantly boost their UEFA Champions League hopes after drawing at Roma, while Palermo and Cagliari were held at home.
Substitute Fabio Simplicio scored an 88th minute equaliser as Roma kept themselves in the hunt for a top-three finish after a 2-2 draw at home with Napoli.
Marquinho had given Roma the lead four minutes before half-time only for Juan Zuniga to bring Napoli level three minutes after the break.

Edinson Cavani's superb curling effort midway through the second half gave Napoli the advantage before Simplicio was on hand to score at the far post to keep Roma within four points of their opponents.
Fabrizio Miccoli scored a second-half equaliser to earn Palermo a 1-1 draw at home with Catania in the Sicilian derby.
Catania took a 25th minute lead through experienced defender Nicola Legrottaglie before Miccoli replied two minutes after half-time to edge Palermo a step closer to guaranteeing their Serie A status.
Chievo Verona failed to score for the fourth consecutive game after a 0-0 draw away to Cagliari in a drab encounter.
