Roma and Chievo Verona both booked their places in the last eight of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.

Roma eased through thanks to a 3-0 win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico.

Argentine starlet Erik Lamela was the hero for the home side as he scored twice in the second period after a goalless first half.

Former Chelsea striker Fabio Borini wrapped up the scoring as Roma booked a meeting with Juventus in the quarter-finals.

Chievo set up a meeting with Siena in the last eight after they wrapped up a 2-1 win at Udinese.

Paolo Sammarco opened the scoring early on before Antonio Di Natale's goal just four minutes from time looked set to take the match to extra-time.

But in injury time the Flying Donkeys prevailed as Cyril Thereau scored.
