Perrotta happy at Chievo

CHIEVO midfielder Simone Perrotta is still being plagued with transfer rumours despite the closure of the transfer window, but says he is happy enough in Verona.

He has been linked with the likes of Juventus, Internazionale and Parma during the summer, but no move materialised.

Perrotta now insists that the he is happy to stay with The Flying Donkeys for the time being.

"I laugh hearing these big names, because there are rumours from a long time ago, but I'm happy to stay at Chievo, then we will see," Perrotta said from Italy's headquarters.

"Inter? Evidently they weren't convicted to sign me, otherwise I'd be here.

"If only I could be able to choose between teams such as Inter and Juve! But I can choose anything.

"Probably I arrived at Juve in a moment in which I wasn't mature enough for such a big club. Now I'm happy at Chievo, then we will see."
