CRISTIANO LUPATELLI proved the hero for Chievo Verona, saving a penalty as the Italian minnows picked up a creditable 0-0 draw in the away leg of their Uefa Cup tie against Crvena Zvezda.
Although they also missed a penalty, Chievo will be confident that they can now progress through to the next round.
"We were the aggressors for long periods of the match," said Lupatelli.
"It wasn't easy because it was our first ever European match and emotions were running high.
"I think we can be satisfied. Red Star [Crvena Zvezda] were determined and had an important physical advantage.
"We will have to play well in the home leg."
