Viola land Udinese defender - Round-Up

By Nadia Carminati
Serie B outfit Fiorentina have signed Udinese defender Thomas Manfredini on loan following the collapse of a deal to land Roma's Carlos Zago.

The deal comes on a day of interesting moves in Italian football's transfer market.

Internazionale have loaned two players out, with defender Alessandro Potenza joining Serie A side Ancona while goalkeeper Alessio Scarpi has gone to Serie B outfit Genoa.

Lecce have signed French striker Wilfried Dalmat from French club Nantes, with the youngster excited over his move to Italian football.

"I'm arrived in Lecce. I have the stimulus to play in the Italian championship - it is the most difficult and technical league anywhere," said Dalmat.

"Lecce have given me a fantastic occasion. I hope to give the club my help."

Siena have taken Greek defender Kostantinos Loumpoutis on loan from Perugia while Argentine defender Carlos Arano has gone in the opposite direction.

Perugia have also completed the loan of Lazio winger Christian Manfredini, who was on loan to Fiorentina.
