Torino captain Kamil Glik has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at the Turin outfit until June 2017.
The Polish defender, who scored two goals and made 34 league appearances to help the Granata finish seventh in Serie A this season, had one year left in his previous deal.
"This is a beautiful and important day for me," Glik said to www.torinofc.it. "I've just signed a contract extension with Torino and I'm delighted.
"I want to thank the club, our president (Urbano) Cairo, our coaching staff, especially our coach (Giampiero) Ventura.
"It is thanks to him that I am improving every day.
"I want to thank my team-mates, who always make me feel the most important player in the squad."
The 26-year-old joined Torino in 2011 from Palermo and two years later was handed the captaincy, becoming the first non-Italian to skipper the Granata since 1960.
"I'm very happy in Turin," Glik said ."From the first day I arrived here I felt welcomed and loved.
"We are growing every year and I believe we will be competitive next season."
