Zaccheroni admits Torino worry

Alberto Zaccheroni has admitted his concern at Torino's poor start to the season.

Alberto Zaccheroni has admitted his concern at Torino's poor start to the season.

Zaccheroni, who only took charge of the Serie A new boys in September, has seen his side pick up just one point from their opening three games.

Torino's latest defeat was a 2-1 loss at home to Siena, but Zaccheroni was encouraged by his team's second half performance.

"I thought and was convinced that we would earn more than one point from these three matches," he conceded.

"Although I should have been aware of the difficulties of arriving on the bench just three days before the season started.

"The match against Siena was divided into two parts. In the first half Siena played better, but in the second we did good things.

"I am more confident, because after the first half nothing was positive."

Zaccheroni also threw his support behind goalkeeper Christian Abbiati, who had a difficult game for Torino.

"He must be calm. When a keeper makes a mistake, like a striker, it is more obvious.

"But I am calm. He will recover soon."
