Cagliari playmaker Andrea Cossu's agent has rubbished rumours linking him with a move to Watford under new manager Gianfranco Zola.
The Championship club are being linked with a host of Italian players having recently come under the ownership of the Pozzo family, who appointed Zola as manager.
Cossu, who was credited with the most assists in Serie A the season before last, is one of the targets reportedly on the Hornets' radar.
However his agent, Fulvio Marrucco, has strongly rebuked talk of a move to Vicarage Road for the 32-year-old, who is contracted at the Stadio Sant'Elia until 2014.
He told sportal.it: "I don't understand where these rumours can come from when they're based on nothing.
"Cossu is from Cagliari; he has always been a Cagliari fan and it is a dream for him to wear the Rossoblu shirt.
"He has another two years on his contract with Cagliari."
