Reggina coach Franco Colomba was a happy man after his team finally managed to register their first league win of the season.
The struggling side managed to beat Siena 2-1 thanks to goals from Brazilian Mozart and a late second scored by Julio Leon
Reggina still did not make life easy for themselves as Siena pulled one back in injury time through former Sunderland and Rangers striker Tore Andre Flo but the home side managed to hang on for a much needed victory.
"It is our first win of the season and thankfully it has finally arrived," stated Colomba. "It has not been easy getting this win."
"We could have let it slip and ended with a draw near the end but I think in the end the result was right."
Siena boss Giuseppe Papadopulo was not too upset at his team's performance and felt they created enough chances to get something from the contest.
"We have to remember we are Siena not Real Madrid," explained Papadopulo.
"I think we played a good match and especially in the second half when we created a lot of chances but couldn't beat their goalkeeper who was excellent all afternoon."
