Bochum have announced the double capture of Sweden international Matias Concha and Livorno midfielder Marc Pfertzel.

Concha, a 27-year-old defender from Djurgarden, will put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at Bochum after completing a medical on Thursday.

"Matias Concha is one of the most prominent candidates for the right-back position in the Swedish national team. He is a tough player, who has convinced us from both a sporting and personal point of view," Bochum chief executive Stefan Kuntz told the club's official website.

Concha, who has won four caps for his country, has made a total of 114 appearances in the Swedish league.

Bochum's ranks have been bolstered further by the capture of 26-year-old Frenchman Pfertzel, who has signed a four-year deal after passing a medical.

"We have been watching Marc Pfertzel very closely and have now signed a player who is extremely versatile and who will bring plenty of international experience to our squad," added Kuntz.

No details as to the fee involved have been officially revealed, although German press speculation claims that Bochum coach Marcel Koller has paid Livorno a sum of around ‚é¼500,000 (£335,000) as he attempts to strengthen his squad to build on last season's impressive eighth placed finish in the Bundesliga.
