Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia has set his heart on a move to Milan in January.
The 24-year-old, considered one of the finest young keepers in Italy, has made no secret of his desire to leave Livorno.
He has been linked with a move to the San Siro for some time and Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti may now decide to pounce as his regular number one Dida is yet to extend his deal with the club.
Amelia said: "I would like to move to Milan - I think this is normal because we are talking about one of the strongest clubs in the world.
"I am flattered that my name is being associated with the Rossoneri.
"The transfer window will reopen in January and anyone interested in my services will have to speak to Livorno."
Livorno are currently flying high in Serie A but Amelia has become infuriated by president Aldo Spinelli's constant criticism.
"I like it in Livorno, but I don't think a side that is fourth and in good form can be criticised by its president," he explained.
"If there will be an opportunity to leave, I hope I will not miss it."
