European giants chasing Dutch winger

Urby Emanuelson's agent has confirmed that a number of clubs from across Europe are chasing his client. The Holland international is currently on the books of Ajax but has already revealed that he has no intention of penning a new deal with the Eredivisie giants. With his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, the 24-year-old will therefore become a free agent next summer. The availability of a player of his considerable talent has not gone unnoticed and interest in securing his services is mounting by the day. Reports in Holland suggest the likes of Everton, Liverpool, Hamburg, Borussia Dortmund, Villarreal, Lazio, Juventus and Porto are all keen on the highly-rated winger and are keen to talk terms. Emanuelson's representative admits the clamour for his client's signature has already begun, but he insists nothing will be discussed until the New Year at the earliest.

Business

"There is quite a lot of interest," Brian Berkleef said in De Telegraaf. "I won't say anything about the clubs that are interested. However, I can confirm that I have told all the clubs that we won't do any business before January." While Emanuelson is prepared to weigh up his options at the turn of the year, Berkleef has ruled out the possibility of a move being pushed through at that time. "A transfer in the winter break is not an option," he said. "He wants to leave Ajax in a good way, hopefully with a title and he will put in 1,000 per cent to help make that happen."
