Sampdoria are reportedly ready to sign Daniele Franceschini from Chievo.
The 30-year-old midfielder is out of contract in the summer and is now all set to seek pastures new.
Sampdoria are known to be keen on adding to their midfield ranks in the summer and it is Franceschini who is believed to top their wish list.
It has been suggested that Samp have already engaged in talks with the player and that a deal is close to being concurred.
Blucerchiati coach Walter Novellino has yet to comment on any such speculation but it is thought that a deal could soon be pushed through.
