Sampdoria are reportedly closing in on a deal for Reggina's Emiliano Bonazzoli.
The Blucerchiati have turned their attentions to Bonazzoli after failing to prise Riccardo Zampagna away from Messina and seeing Bernardo Corradi opt for Parma.
It is understood a basic ‚é¼1.5 million has been agreed between the two clubs and Bonazzoli could conclude the move within days.
Samp have been desperately looking for a new forward after Fabio Bazzani damaged knee ligaments during pre-season.
