Udinese striker Luis Muriel has signed a contract extension which will see him remain at the club until 2018.
Since his arrival at the Stadio Friuli in 2010, Muriel has spent time on loan with Granada and Lecce, scoring seven goals in 29 appearances with the latter.
The 22-year-old Colombian enjoyed his most prolific season yet in 2012/13, scoring 11 goals in 22 matches for Udinese.
"We have extended Muriel's contract to secure the player, to reward him and to encourage him to continue on this path," Udinese's sports director Cristiano Giaretta said.
"He is already in a great club and he has yet to show all his qualities if he wants to play in one of the ten most important teams in the world."
Muriel has already scored twice in Udinese's opening three Serie A matches this season as well as grabbing a brace in their Europa League qualifier against Bosnian side Siroki Brijeg.
