Udinese insist there will be no auction for the club's number one striker Antonio Di Natale.

Reports in Italy have suggested that a string of leading Serie A sides are readying summer bids for the hit-man.

Di Natale joined Udinese from Empoli two years ago and scored 15 goals in all competitions last season.

He has established himself as one of the most respected forwards in the league and is wanted by several clubs.

But Udinese supremo Gianpaolo Pozzo has received no bids for the 28-year-old and does not plan to sell the Italy international.

"I can guarantee that no one has asked us about him," affirmed Pozzo.

"Also his agent, who I consider to be a serious person, denied each type of contact with his client."
