Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez has reassured supporters that he has completely recovered from a right knee ligament injury.
The Germany international has been out of action since sustaining a Grade II medial collateral ligament tear in his right knee in the 1-1 draw with Cagliari in September.
And now the 28-year-old, who joined the Viola this summer from Bayern Munich, says he is ready to start training with his team-mates over the next few days, despite suffering inflammation to his knee.
"Currently I'm feeling good and my knee problems have been completely resolved," he wrote on his Facebook personal profile page.
"Unfortunately there is a slight inflammation to the knee, but these things are common during rehabilitation."
Gomez missed the dramatic 4-3 victory against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Artemio Franchi at the weekend.
However, he could be in line for a place on the bench against unbeaten Roma this Sunday.
