Fioretina capture Juve striker

The Italian has not made an appearance for Juventus this season after falling out-of-favour with current coach Antonio Conte.

The 31-year-old's last appearance was in April 2011, when he scored twice whilst on loan at Parma.

He had a successful spell with Parma, notching seven goals in just 11 appearances.

Fiorentina have struggled for goals this season, with only five clubs in the division having scored fewer.

Juventus striker Luca Toni is also set to leave the club in the final week of the transfer window, with a number of Serie A sides interested in the veteran.

Bottom-club Cesena, along with Cagliari and Siena are preparing to lodge a bid for the 34-year-old.

But he has also revealed that he is considering a move to the MLS as he enters the twilight years of his career.

He has failed to settle at a club since leaving Bayern Munich in 2010 and told Bild: "Maybe I'll go in for a year in the United States."

He also joked: "If I could come back to Bayern, I would play for free."

Meanwhile, the agent of Vincenzo Iaquinta has admitted that the striker will wait until the end of the transfer window before deciding to stay with or leave Juventus.

Iaquinta is another attacker out-of-favour with the Turin side and, like Amauri, has not featured for the club this season.

His representative, Andrea D'Amico, explained: "For now he is staying at Juventus, but strikers will be on the move in the last few hours of the window.

"There is still plenty of time left in this transfer window. Deals will be done right up until the very end."
