Luca Toni has revealed his wish to stay at Fiorentina for the rest of his career.
Luca Toni has revealed his wish to stay at Fiorentina, but wants contract talks to wait until the end of the season.
The striker has been in prolific form during the past two seasons with the Viola and has been linked with other Serie A clubs.
Toni would be willing to shun interest from elsewhere to stay put, but would prefer to discuss a new deal in the summer.
"I could close my career with Fiorentina," said Toni from Italy's training camp ahead of next week's Euro 2008 qualifier with Scotland.
"Anyway, I'll talk about my deal only in June. I've said it and I repeat the same thing.
"It's early to talk about it now, but I could really close my career wearing the Viola jersey."
And, despite the rumours about his future, the 29-year-old confirmed his only focus is next Wednesday's meeting with Scotland in Bari.
He added: "In this moment, I think only of Scotland and I want to beat them, even if they are a strong side.
"We have all the possibilities to do this."
