Luca Toni has admitted it is a major honour to equal Kurt Hamrin and Gabriel Batistuta's record of 26 goals in a season for Fiorentina.
Toni has proved to be the hottest shot in Serie A this term and his goal against Roma on Sunday moved him level with two big names in the club's history.
The forward has six games left to break the record, but is just honoured to be mentioned in the same breath as Hamrin and Batistuta.
"It's a big pleasure to have equalled the record," he told Sky Italia. "I have scored 26 goals because I am surrounded by players who help me."
Toni is looking to fire the Viola into the UEFA Champions League places, but admits it could be tough to keep Roma at bay.
"Now let's hope we can continue doing good things to achieve Champions League qualification, that would be a dream," he stated.
"We will try to battle for this place until the end, but it will be hard due to the fact Roma are a strong side."
