FIORENTINA could be forced to out of existence after the Italian Clubs' Committee revealed that the club may not have enough money to play in Serie B next season.

The Viola had hoped to build a team that could earn promotion back to the top flight for next season, however the Italian FA may not let them enter the division and could push them into Serie D or lower instead.

The cash-strapped club are expected to sell every valuable player at the end of the campaign, including star players Angelo Di Livio (pictured) and Enrico Chiesa.

"I am sorry that as a team we may not be able to play in Serie B next season," said a disappointed Di Livio.

Galatasaray are leading the chase for Chiesa, however many Viola players will struggle to find new clubs after the club endured a dismal season winning only five of their 33 matches so far.
