FIORENTINA midfielder Christian Amoroso is set to be out of action for two weeks because of injury.

The 24-year-old player has suffered because of muscular problems on his left leg and now he has to stop playing for the same problem.

Amoroso picked up the injury last Sunday against league leaders AS Roma and is unlikely to play on Thursday night at Artemio Franchi Stadium against Brescia in the Fourth Round of Coppa Italia.

Viola coach Fatih Terim revealed he wants to play the Coppa Italia match second-string players with players that usually are not in the starting eleven which could give a chance to such players as Enrico Chiesa, Mauro Bressan and Fabio Rossitto.

Meanwhile the club is targeting some players to strengthen the side with the main target believed to be Perugia defender Mauro Milanese, who is unable to secure a first team place at Renato Curi Stadium.

Another target is Verona right-back Massimo Oddo, but Gialloblu coach Attlio Perotti does not want to lose one of his key-players.
