Palermo have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino from Serie A rivals Chievo following a protracted chase.
Discussions regarding a winter switch have dragged on since the start of the winter window, with it appearing as though no compromise would be reached.
A deal has, however, finally been struck and Sorrentino has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract with his new employers.
He will now be hoping to help guide Palermo away from relegation trouble, with the club currently languishing inside the bottom three, four points adrift of safety.
"Palermo Calcio can announce that they have reached an agreement with Chievo for the sporting rights of Stefano Sorrentino," read a statement released on the club's official website.
"The keeper, who has signed a contract until 2016, joins the Rosanero on a permanent deal."
